Life at Wesley Hall

Life at Wesley Hall

Wesley Hall is the premier private living community at ASU, offering students an environment in which they will experience authentic relationships, inspired creativity, probing conversations, and social consciousness. Those walking through our doors are welcomed in to a safe and open environment in which residents are encouraged, not only to engage in conversations about life and faith, but to discover relevant ways to “live it out” in their communities and in the world.

The mission at Wesley Hall is to call students to seek Christ with adventurous spirits, questioning minds, and compassionate hearts.

Adventurous spirits

Life at Wesley Hall is often about getting away – leaving the beauty and comfort of “home” and exploring ways to improve the lives of others, or perhaps your own.

Ever consider spending spring break serving the hurting and poor in south-central LA, or in flood-ravaged New Orleans? Do a couple of days of leadership training in Las Vegas interest you? How about simply packing up and spending a long weekend with a group of friends on the beach in San Diego?

Of course there are many other ways to fuel your adventurous spirit without leaving Wesley Hall. Perform your favorite songs in the shaded courtyard; display your artwork in the Assembly Room; organize an intramural sports team; or participate in a wide range of social activities.

Questioning minds

College years are a time for critical thinking about your faith as well as academics. Faith at Wesley Hall is about exploring what it means to be a follower of Christ, by connecting with others, joining the conversation, asking tough questions, and digging deeper into important issues. This is not a place where you will want to leave your curiosity at the door. Wesley Hall’s students are encouraged to be just that, students – reasoning, questioning, thinking.

Compassionate Hearts

A lot needs to be done to improve our world, and Wesley Hall is the place for students who are committed to doing just that. Residents of Wesley Hall are given many opportunities to participate in – or even organize – outreach projects and mission trips to help those in need locally, nationally, and around the world.

Comfortable Surroundings

Did we mention that Wesley Hall is the second-closest residence hall to the center of campus, and the closest housing option for first-year students; that it is the only Christian, faith-based housing at ASU; that it is completely alcohol and substance free; and that it is uniquely designed to encourage community, friendship, and social interaction?

Wesley Hall residents sign a 9-month, by-the-bed lease, in which your rent includes all utilities…and the rooms are completely furnished. First year students may also live in Wesley Hall!
